2015 Yamaha YZF-R1

2015 Yamaha YZF-R1....

Yamaha have not had a new R1 since 2009 when the cross-plane engine was introduced since then apart from adding traction control in 2012 the R1 has been unchanged. There are rumours about that we will see a new Yamaha YZF-R1 in 2015 but so far CMC Motorcycles have had no confirmation from Yamaha UK. However Yamaha UK have already sold out of YZF-R1's for 2014, usually this happens when Yamaha bring only a few in as they will want all dealers sold out of current model R1's if a new one was on it's way. At the end of last year Yamaha UK told it's UK dealers we would be getting new bikes every three months for 2014/2015 and already CMC have had MT-09, MT-07, SR400 a revised Yamaha YZF-R125 and we have the all new Yamaha MT-125 coming this month. Yamaha are on the boil and they know if a new 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 arrives it has to blow the opposition away and that opposition comes in the form of the 2015 Kawasaki ZX10 and of course the now Isle of Man winning BMW S1000RR. A new 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 would certainly have to produce around 200 brake horse power and it would have to be a four cylinder have plenty of electronics like traction and launch control and semi active electronic suspension. Changes to the old style double exhaust system and air intake should change the look of the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1. At the moment it's all rumours but these rumours are gaining momentum, as and when CMC know about the 2015 Yamaha YZF-R1 you will be the first to know!

If it's bikes it's CMC
